Evaleen Jaager Roy
Evaleen Jaager Roy advises CEOs and organizations on strategy and leadership. Her clients include some of the most successful companies in architecture, medical research, investment, technology and also include some of British Columbia’s leading non profits. Prior to starting her own company, she served as vice-president of human resources for Electronic Arts, helping to build the industry in its early high growth years in BC, across Europe and for a global division.
Evaleen served as human resources director at Westcoast Energy and began her career in the US auto sector. Evaleen is active in the community, serving as Chair of the Board at Emily Carr University of Art & Design for five years, helping to lead the way for the iconic new campus which will open in 2017. She was also the first alumna to be elected Chair of the Board at Simon Fraser University, Canada’s #1 Comprehensive University. During her tenure, SFU expanded downtown and began laying the plans for the UniverCity development.
Currently Evaleen is a board member at Curatio, named one of Canada’s hottest tech start ups in 2015; she is also on the board of the Banff Centre—the world’s largest arts and creativity incubator—and the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada. She is recognized as an outstanding Alumnus from Simon Fraser University, is a Vancouver Influential Business Woman Award winner as well as recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. She received an Honorary Doctorate from Emily Carr University in 2015 and from Simon Fraser University in 2016. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA (Hons) from Simon Fraser University.
